What is small world?
In these notes, I write on global economic, geopolitical, and economic policy issues. From the future of globalisation to geopolitical competition and global macro dynamics, I focus on the disruptive changes underway that governments, firms, and investors need to understand and respond to.
Readers of small world get a sense of how I am thinking about current global developments: what matters, what doesn’t matter, what does this tell us about the future, what should be on the agenda for decision-makers? My aim is to provide distinctive insights into structural changes in global economics and geopolitics, and new ideas on what to expect and how to respond.
I write small world primarily for decision-makers/advisors/strategists in governments, firms, and financial institutions around the world that are looking for insights on the emerging global economic and political environment. And also for anyone that is simply interested in understanding these issues.
I now write these notes approximately every month.
Outside of writing these notes, I am Founding Director at Landfall Strategy Group: a firm that provides actionable insights and advice to help our clients navigate complex economic and geopolitical risks and opportunities.
I have decades of experience working with firms, investors, and governments around the world, from the Asia Pacific to the Middle East and Europe, helping institutions navigate a changing global context. You can also connect with me on LinkedIn.
These notes cover some of the issues that we engage with our clients on in a more direct manner. We deliver briefings/presentations to Boards, leadership teams, and conferences; undertake commissioned project work on specific strategic issues; and also provide regular insights and advice to clients on global economic and geopolitical issues on a retained basis.
Do get in touch with us at contact@landfallstrategy.com if you would discus these client services.
And I’d be delighted if you shared small world with your network.
